Mohammad Ashrif lissery is a Civil servant in Kashmir administrative service. He is resident of village Kanthi Tehsil Thuroo erstwhile Gool Gulab Garh,District Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir. Mr Muhammad Ashraf a Zoologist,has served in revenue department.  Hailing from Kanthi Village, an inadequately developed village in Tehsil Thuroo and Erstwhile Mahore Tehsil of Reasi district. Mr Ashraf has remained a meritorious student throughout his career. He attained his elementary education from Government school Kanthi and joined Peer Panchal High School Mahore for his middle school. An alumnus of Government Gandhi Memorial Science college Jammu, Mr Ashraf passed BSc and joined BR Ambedkar University Agra and attained his MSc degree in Zoology. During MSc, he started preparation of civil services and burned midnight oil to get into the elite services. His philanthropic and socialistic approach has always attracted him towards social services and worked with many NGOs like Global Peace Organization, Peer Panchal Youth Development Society, besides working as Patwari in Revenue Department. He attributed his success to the Almighty and his parents who always stood by him.”  Mr Ashraf is the proud son of a revenue officer, Mr Abdul Rashid and his mother Shahmal Begum. Whole Jaral community is flooded with pride and gladness on the success of Ashraf.

“Words can hardly describe my feelings. I feel on top of the world today,” Ashraf's wife Fatima said. His father in choking voice said “my great son deserved for this as he sacrificed his every comfort to achieve his goal. He wished for more youngsters to come forward to join the elite services by trying hard, like Ashraf and Rafiq Ahmad Jaral KAS 2011 batch who is presently Tehsildar Bishnah.
