Melissa Dominguez is a Spanish American/Mestiza printmaker, photographer, and jeweler from Santa Fe, New Mexico, whose "work tends to explore the darker side of life."[1]

As an undergraduate, Dominguez worked for and showed at Red Dot Gallery on Canyon Road.[2]

Art career[edit]

Dominguez exhibits primarily in the Southwest, particularly Santa Fe, and has shown her jewelry at Galeria El Farol,[3] and her prints at the Santa Fe Reporter Aha Festival with artist Sam Haozous.[4][5]

"I’m trying to find the beauty in things in things like death and the painful portions of life," the artist says.[1]

Dominguez co-curated an art show, "Salon de la Raza" with Joseph Sanchez and America Meredith in 2013.[6]

Melissa Dominguez lives in Santa Fe, Mexico with her family. She teaches at Santa Fe Community College.[7]
