[edit]Aurora Photos, founded in 1993 by two National Geographic photographers, Bob Caputo and José Azel, was initially called Aurora & Quanta Productions, dedicated to international, in-depth photojournalism and what was then a nascent world of digital media. After 26 years of operation the changing stock photography and journalism industry caused the sale of Aurora Photos to Cavan Images, a bigger, New York-based agency.
