Jad Mouawad is the energy reporter at The New York Times[1].

Biography[edit]


He joined the paper in July 2004 and has written on a variety of topics, including Exxon Mobil's corporate strategy, the oil price shock of 2008, the impact of Nigeria's civil conflict on global markets, offshore drilling battles in Alaska, and the internal policy of OPEC nations.

He previously worked in Paris for Bloomberg News and in Beirut for the English-language Lebanese daily, The Daily Star.

He was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1974. He went to school in Paris, and graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. He also holds a Masters Degree in political science from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris.
