My name is John Bailey. I am currently studying at Hull University, Scarborough Campus and will hopefully graduate with a Masters degree from the school of arts and new Media in 2013. I have been awarded a Foundation Degree in Applied Digital Media after studying at East Riding College in Beverley between 2009 and 2011, and toped up to a BA in Design for Digital media at Hull University, Scarborough Campus and was awarded a 2.1 scoring 67.8 overall. My area of focus for my independent study (Dissertation) was the History and Impact of Propaganda.
I consider digital photography, including image manipulation to be a particular area of strength.
My work background is in driving. I have succeeded in gaining several full licenses to drive large passenger vehicles and goods vehicles including articulated LGVs. Consequently my knowledge about the legalities of driving is sound. As a mobile test centre manager carrying out health and safety tests for construction workers I developed some understanding of legal requirements. This has proved helpful in knowing the implications for safe and legal practice when filming on location.
Earlier further and higher education gave me formal qualifications in IT to BTEC National Diploma level. My particular skills are in dealing with hardware issues and problems.

I am particularly interested in the history, development and impact of propaganda , surveillance and its link to creative art the subject of my Masters by research thesis, and Internet Addiction Disorder.

As a third generation supporter of Manchester United Football Club I have sound knowledge about the club, its history and players. My interests in music include Blues, Jazz, and Popular music. My knowledge in this subject has enabled my use of non-copyrighted materials in creating soundtracks within the film editing process.
I have travelled extensively around Canada and the USA. Particular favourite locations in Canada include Toronto, Calgary, Banff and Vancouver. My visits to the USA have led me to explore New York City, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Florida.
I have a keen interest in all things to do with motor vehicles and hope to restore a classic car in the future.
