Barrie is second year Masters candidate in the Georgetown University Communication, Culture & Technology Program. She has experience working in Education Policy, youth programming, and teaching in American and international classrooms. As a graduate assistant in the Children's Digital Media Center, she is particularly interested in how digital interactive games can incite exploration. Her current research examines kids generated content and game MODing platforms focusing on the creative process in game creation and the ways in which children provide feedback to each other. Barrie received a B.A. in both African-American Studies and Jewish Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008.
