==Fasciola hepatica is associated with failure to detect bovine tuberculosis in dairy cattle==

Result that cattle co-infected with F.hepatica react to the SICCT test than those infect with ''M.bovis'' alone.

The SICCT test and PPD specifice IFN-y response were negative compare to that cattle infected with BCG were the SICCT and IFN-y tests positive cattle infect with F.hepatica and M.bovis BCG reduced SICCT tests and this was associated with IFN-y response and enhanced IL4,IL10 and transforming Growth Factor TGF-β secretion this leading to induction T cell population express TGF-β and IL10 which inhibit bystander and auto-antigen specific TH1 and TH17 response and releas inflammatory mediators such as IFN-y and IL12,14,17,18,19,20 so that the efficacy of SICCT tests used to diagnosis BTB is compromised .
