The status of Women in Shahnameh, an epic by Iranian famous poet Ferdowsi has always been the place of debate among the scholars. Some of these women such as Rudabeh, Tahmineh, Faranguis and Manijeh are the ideal women created by Ferdowsi and they are also of non-Iranian origin. [1]
