OHM'S LAW

What is the relationship between resistance and resistivity? Resistance may be defined as that property of the substance which opposes the flow of electrical current through it. Unit of resistance is the ohm (Ω)

Ohm's law in electrical engineering and physics relate voltage, current and resistance in any given electrical circuit. i.e

OHM'S LAW states that the electrical current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference across its ends providing the temperature remains constant

V=IR

where

V is the potential difference measured across the conductor in volts

I is the current through the conductor in amperes

R is the constant of proportionality called resistance on ohms
