In September 2000, Mrs. Katsinos became the curriculum leader of the math department. This is her seventh year as the leader of the math department, and will continue to be in that position for the coming year. She is in charge of the senior math club of Victoria Park, and exposes its participants to topics that are not covered by the curriculum, which are however, beneficial in math contests. This perhaps explains the reason why V.P always places in the top 10 in Ontario in math contests, as well outsmarts UCC; one of the highly advanced private schools in Toronto. Next year, under her supervision, the math department will develop new course outlines for the new grade 12 academic and applied courses.
