Recall
If you feel I've abused the tools or authority granted to administrators, please start a request for comment on the issue. If there is some consensus* among editors in good standing** that I misused my administrative position, and that the misuse warrants relinquishing admin status, I will resign as an administrator. If later I feel that I have resolved the concerns brought up during the RfC, I may use a standard request for adminship to request adminship again. In the course of an RfC about my performance as an admin, I reserve the right to discard the opinions of any editor acting in retaliation for an action of mine (regardless of when that action occurred) or acting to further a dispute. However administrator recall is ultimately about accountability to the community so as a rule I will respect the views of all good-faith participants in a recall RfC. *I will ultimately interpret what precisely constitutes "some consensus." Suffice it to say, I will view concerns from a reasonable number of good-faith editors about my ability to handle the tools as reason enough to resign them. **Editors in good standing will be those who have been editing Wikipedia for at least 3 months with more than 300 edits and who are not under sanctions from the ArbCom or a community process. |
