The motto of the AIW is conservata veritate, which translates to "with the preserved truth".
This motto reflects the inclusionist desire to change Wikipedia only when no knowledge would be lost as a result.

I may spend a fair amount of time editing private, documentation wikis and spend ridiculous amounts of time browsing wikipedia trying to learn new and interesting stuff, but I am quite a novice at editing wikipedia. Despite reading many talk pages & researching many conflicts I feel too timid (& often too late) to insert myself into these issues. For when I do step in & mess up, I only ask other editors to remember WP:AGF. Also, please don't hesitate to explain what may seem common knowledge because I'm still learning many elements of wikipedia like policy and am always eager to potentially learn something new. I know I shouldn't take anything personally so please remind me of this if I do.
