Cab 20 is an alternative rock band originating from El Segundo, California. The band has released three studio albums. The band gained tremendous publicity after it was featured on ABC's Shark Tank. The band has often been compared to Garage Rock bands such as The Black Keys or The White Stripes, says Bert Hoover.

Bert Hoover the frontman and guitarist of Cab 20 met Zach Cosby, the soon to be drummer, in 5th grade. But they didn't start the band until high school.Then Through internet searching Jason Alamanza was drafted to replace the former Bassist Chris Khalife who went off to college. And in 2010 Cab 20 met Mock Records employee Eric Contreras, who also replaced Zach Cosby.[1] October of the next year Erik Lake the founder of Mock Records would join the band as the lead guitarist.The band was named after a taxi cab in Austin Texas. Bert Hoover was riding back to his hotel when he heard over the radio "All cabs be weary of pedestrians. Even you Cab 20."[2]

Dirty Smiles was released on May 28, 2010 through slaughtered lamb productions.

Cactus EP was released on June 17 2011. Two of the songs (Slow Song and Gravedigger), were both before released on the debut album Dirty Smiles.

Holy Denim Faded Vibrations was released on February 19, 2013 and produced by Krish Sharma[3]

Bert Hoover released his own solo project titled Quest for Blood on July 18, 2014 on a Cassette tape. Very few were released to the public through Hooveriii's Bandcamp. Later in 2014 two more solo releases who show up ; The Matter a free 2 song outtake digital download of the Quest for Blood, and Livation KXLU 88​.​9fm, also a free download that was recordings from a live show at the location of the albums same name.,[4]
