Valensaturdays are a cyclical calendrical phenomeonon that occur in Gregorian Calendar-based countries whose calendars begin their week on Sunday. Specifically, it is a phenomenon where Valentine's Day occurs on a Saturday.

Phenomnena[edit]

There a few directly related phenomena that occur along when Valentine's Day is on a Saturday:

  • The occurrence of two Friday the 13th's in a row. Because February is the only month which can contain a month with length equal to zero modulus 7, it is the only time that there can be two adjacent Friday the 13th's.
  • A North American Gregorian calendar that can fit into four lines. See the example in the corner of the page.

Cyclicity[edit]

Because of the cyclicity of the Gregorian Calendar, this phenomena occurs in a 28 year cycle.

List of Valensaturday's in the 20th and 21st century[edit]

Valensaturday's which coincide with the twin Friday the 13th phenomenon are highlighted in green. The only decade that does not have a Valensaturday in the 20th and 21st century is the 1960's

2100 cycle change[edit]

Because 2100 has the unique property of being a year which does not obey the typical leap year structure (See Leap year), the current cycle will be slightly offset. It will still maintain its 28 year cycle, but will be temporarily offset.
