Disclosure: I am creating an article on The Books of The Bible, an edition of the Protestant canon of the Scriptures, published by the International Bible Society (now Biblica) in Today's New International Version in 2007 and the New International Version in 2012. It is notable for its significant departures from the traditional format of the Bible and for the likelihood, expressed by third-party reviewers, that publishers of other versions of the Bible will follow its example, resulting in a lasting change to the traditional format or the emergence of a parallel format.

I served as a consulting editor to the International Bible Society for the development of this edition. I do not receive any royalty income from sales. I am the author of the Understanding the Books of the Bible study guide series mentioned at the end of the article and the companion volume, After Chapters and Verses, listed in the external links. I do receive royalties from the sales of those books.
