Elliot Snider was awarded a master's degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rochester in 2019.[1] Snider was the lead author of a paper published in the journal Science describing the discovery of carbonaceous sulfur hydride, the first known room temperature superconductor, while a Ph.D. candidate at the Rochester laboratory of Ranga Dias, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering and of physics and astronomy.[1][2]
