Pack Rat - data analysis was discussed enough, not too in depth but it touched upon what is used in the middens to determine paleo-climate. Assumptions are in the article as well, one discussing how the size of the rat might be related to the ambient air temperature of the time it was living in. However there is no mention of the strengths & weaknesses of the proxy method; just discusses the method.

Currency of the articles - a lot of the articles I am finding deal with rock hyrax middens in southwest-southern Africa. I could not find the references listed on the page in a reference database but here are two articles that use this proxy: "Influence of tropical easterlies in southern Africa's winter rainfall zone during the Holocene" (Chase, Lim, Chevalier, Boom, Carr, Meadows, and Reimer 2015) and "Modeling climate limits of plants found in Sonoran Desert packrat middens" (Arundel 2002)

There should be a strengths and weaknesses of the proxy section in the article. They have articles that are dated in 2016 so maybe articles that would be easier to validate as peer reviewed journals would be good. The description of the data analysis could be a little bit more in depth which would probably help make understanding it clearer.
