Brookie (talk · contribs) – Brookie looks like a good editor. He/she is frequently spotting Candidates for Speedy Deletion, which I then delete. Kate's tool says Brookie has 5410 edits, of which reasonably many in User and Wikipedia namespaces. JIP | Talk 13:28, 18 September 2005 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
I think that dealing with those silly speedy delete-type articles and dealing with vandals will be my area of interest - those irritations that take up a lot of one's time and space on the Wiki!
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I have started or contributed to quite a few articles since I joined the Wiki See here I am probably most pleased with my featured article AEJ Collins. I am also pleased with the articles on the various Studd family members - as they seem so interesting and the Marshman family (as they are relatives going back two hundred or so years).I have also had a featured picture which I am proud of.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I have had a few minor spats in the past - but nothing too serious. One of the things that I have learned from the Wiki is that these don't really matter and one just needs to take a deep breath and move on - a useful lesson for the real world! When one remembers that one doesn't own the articles you work on and that contributions from others should help improve things - then it is easier to be relaxed about others' edits etc.
