Comments[edit]

(and if you're agreeable, I can edit and make suggestions for you here too. See you next week. Nick Moyes (talk))

Great! I assume that each of the articles listed above will need a subpage? Not sure how to do that. Bruce ~~~~

Just go to the url in the browser for this page, adding on /Ross; /FAMOUS; /OSC etc etc, then for each just find the tab labelled Create. Add a line and save/publish. Or you could name them Sandbox1, sandbox2 etc. Nick Moyes (talk)
So each /xxx URL is a new Sandbox page? Bruce
Yes, exactly. Providing you type .../sandbox/xxx, press return, and then hit the "Create" tab and "publish" the page. It's not published in the sense that the content is in Wikipedia main space (as we call it), but it is published on the internet. Google shouldn't find it, but you can work on it as you see fit. Obviously, we can work on it together, if you need particular help, and if you're happy for me to. It's convention that one editor doesn't interfere with another editor's userpages unless they've agreed it's OK to do so.
Should you want to do some self-help on any topic you're stuck on, a good way is to type WP followed by a colon and a keyword in the search box at the top of any page. So, for example, WP:USERPAGE will take you to this information page, whilst WP:HELP will take you to the WP:HELP page. Don't, whatever you do, think that you can't go off and ask for help elsewhere if you want quick answers. That's absolutely fine by me. The WP:TEAHOUSE will always give you speedy answers to individual questions. No need to wait for me to be around - though if you do get an answer it;'s best to delete or at least advise me you've already hot a respponse - just to avoid duplication of effort. - and feel free to delete these notes from your sandbox when you're sorted. (We're probably best keeping the really helpful stuff on our Talk Pages.)
I created Ross Embayment. It needs a map. I looked on WP Commons and didn't find one (no maps category either). Advice on finding open-source maps? Found some on Google maps but they are from pubs with CR. Bruce
