From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When I was working for Mr. Jim's Pizzeria [[1]]), back in the 1980's, several of us gave ourselves Roman names. Randy was Randicus, Robbie was Robicus, Eddy was Oedipus and I (Bucky) was BVCKVS. I particularly liked mine because it was totally unique and because it had no vowels.

Since then, I've gone on to use this word in a variety of creatives:

  • When I got out of the Navy, I set myself up as a (lousy) bookkeeper, doing business as "BVCKVS Business Info Systems".
  • I created a Fax-Over-IP protocol, and used "BVCKVS" as the namespace.
  • Back when domain names were free, I regeistered BVCKVS.com - but let it die.
  • I created a Website Framework for PHP and code-named it "BVCKVS".

Now, my internet UserID/pseudonym is almost always "BVCKVS".
