  • Oops, I mistakenly thanked an editor while I wanted to thank another editor for a completely different edit. Lol. ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 14:08, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
  • Apparently, I had made the 100 thousandth edit on Pali Wikipedia, pi:Special:Diff/100000 on 10th March 10:24 UTC. Sadly, the page it was on (pi:Category:Assessment/No sources) has to be deleted because it's useles. Sigh. ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 16:36, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
  • Wooohooo! So I hit 5000+ live edits, without even realising that I did. Just noticed now. Yayyy! ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 12:42, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
  • This editor, as of today, does not understand the difference between the contents of Wikipedia & Help namespaces. What a shame.:{ ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 17:38, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
  • Hmm interesting (https://meta.wikimedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/Main_Page). ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 19:42, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
  • It's unbelievable how much time and effort someone can put for the sole reason of vandalising Wikipedia (Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Biancasuarez). ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 12:39, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
  • I mistakenly clicked U5 when I should've clicked U1 instead. :,-) ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 13:22, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
  • My second request for rollback permission got rejected (╯︵╰,) Nevermind, not gonna apply for it again, I already spend too much time here, additional 2 seconds per Twinkle rollback isn't gonna make a huge difference. ---CX Zoom(he/him) (let's talk|contribs) 01:13, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
  • SakibChy99 has got a hell of a luck. Normally, admins don't spare vandals. Here, they were 4im'ed by me, reported at AIV by not just me but also another user. They have a edit history with all but one of their ≈100 edits reverted, because they continued disruptive editing. Yet they walk free, the report went stale and got removed by bot. • What someone working in a small wiki feels like:
I would like to add licenses to my installation of Mediawiki. I copied the Mediawiki:Licenses page from this site, then copied each of those templates, then copied the templates those templates used, and on and on and on and ON AND ON AND ON. At that point, I just deleted them all, out of fear that I would be found dead at my keyboard in a thousand years, still copying and pasting templates. Is there a SIMPLE WAY to just ADD LICENSES without descending into a neverending hell of template dependencies? Thanks. -- 67.76.163.46 16:40, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Never mind. I just pasted the summary of the license with a link to the license page, and that seems to work. -- 67.76.163.46 16:56, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

  • I just stumbled upon list of editors by edit count somehow while doing some archive de-orphaning work and guess what I made it to the top 10,000 (Special:Diff/1114761434). What's more interesting? The userbox on my talk page says that it is my 4th WikiBirthday! Lovely coincidences. CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • {CX}) 21:58, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
  • I just made this up, but didn't want to put a pile-on oppose, so putting this here instead.
Thank you very much for considering to volunteer President-Wiki-Man. I believe that you'll make a fine administrator some day, just not yet. Adminship is one of the highest level of permission a user can get here. It is not a honorific, it is a real position which comes with its own pros and cons, and the community expects prospective admins to be very well experienced. To pick a real life example, I'd say that adminship is like becoming a doctor. You're not a doctor until you get your degree, but you start learning and doing doctor-like things for the 4 years you're in medical school. Even before becoming an administrator, the community expects that the candidate has good experience in administrative areas of the project, something which you currently do not have. There is no guide, there are no administrator schools. When you get heavily involved in the project, you just slowly get sucked into the black hole, the more you go deeper the more you realise there's a lot lot more to learn than what you've thought before. You think you're experienced, I thought that too when I had maybe ≈500 edits, but believe me its just the tip of the iceberg and there's a lot more to explore. I wish you the best for your future endeavours.

  • Loved it for some reason
Agreed. This is an English language website, USE FREAKING ENGLISH. I should not need a hieroglyphics dictionary to tell me what a button does. And we DON'T need 73 square miles of whitespace. It looks like half the text has been lost. I am not a three year old, I can handle actual text. The new update looks like the "child's first encyclopedia" I had in the late 1970s. It is pathetic looking and insulting to the reader's intelligence.--User:Khajidha (talk) (contributions) 19:02, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
