Abominable (2019 film) missing WP:ECP topicon

Hey there admin, it appears that you protected Abominable (2019 film) but didn't put in {{pp-extended|small=yes}}... I just did it for you, assuming that was just an oversight and not intentional? --Nemoschool (talk to me) 16:59, 7 January 2020 (UTC)

Hello, Nemoschool. That's okay. The protection was placed last March due to persistent copyright violations. I see from the talk page that there were still efforts to add copyvios in October, but none since then. OTOH, there appears to be some other small controversy with the film. So I suggest leaving the ECP for a few more months, after which it can be removed. CactusWriter (talk) 16:16, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

"Poor to fair"?

Hi there, I'm unclear on where "poor to fair" came from in this edit. Also, you should probably know that phrasing like "mixed to negative" is widely shunned by multiple WikiProjects including WikiProject Film, WikiProject Television, and WikiProject Videogames the last time I asked. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:57, 17 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi Cyphoidbomb. I don't really remember, but it seems I edited that article during a copyvio check. So after removing the copyvio text, I imagine my thinking went something like this: Because that sentence about reviews was in the lede, it should summarize the reception section. However, "mixed review" is clearly a meaningless term in all cases. So I changed it to reflect better the sampling of four reviews that the editors had included in the article. And Poor to Fair is based on standard quality rating metrics. I failed to notice the inline cite there, which of course, makes it seem the sentence is referenced to it. My bad. I have no problem with the entire sentence being deleted. But the reference from the lede should be placed on the quote in the reception section, which refers to it. Cheers. Holger Christian Langmack and the “Under God” in the Pledge

I rarely go on to Wikipedia. I am the person who added the section regarding Holger Christian Langmack and the inclusion of “Under God” in the Pledge.

When I did this so many years ago, I included with it the a picture of a letter that is in our possession - From President Truman. This letter was written to my Grandfather regarding his letter about adding these two words to the pledge.

I sent in the picture of this letter to be used in the Wikipedia article. It never showed up in the article, but I assumed that whoever was editing would see it.

My mother, who has this letter, now lives in Sweden. I cannot get a copy of the letter right away to include it here. But this is NOT a family fable, and I am insulted that you would say that along with your editing. This is a well known fact, and not just by our family.

One of my cousins still sits on the Presidential Prayer Breakfast because he “inherited” my Grandfather’s seat. My Grandfather helped to establish the Presidential Prayer Breakfast along with Abraham Vereide, Richard Halverson and Billy Graham, among many others. Although my Grandfather shunned notoriety, he was right there alongside these men in helping to establish this in 1953.

This is one of the reasons why I do not think Wikipedia is a good source of any knowledge. Because the editors do not do a good job weeding out the fact from fiction.

You don’t have to reinsert Mr. Langmack’s contribution into this article. I know his contribution to the “Under God” inclusion, among other things, to be facts. I am just sorry that anyone reading Wikipedia believes everything they read.

Abraham Vereide, Richard Halverson and Billy Graham were close personal friends of our family. That’s a fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.22.7.211 (talk) 14:47, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

Hello. I apologize to you for my comment explaining the removal of your edit. It did include unfair assumptions. And I have now removed those statements. Please note that the lack of information about Holger Christian Langmack in Wikipedia is not meant to denigrate or lessen his life or work -- but rather that there appears at this time to be no reliable independent sources (e.g. an established scholar or historian) that supports an encyclopedic entry. Also, a personal letter or family knowledge is invalid as a source for Wikipedia. It violates our encyclopedic guidelines on No original research. Should proper sourcing arise in the future, please feel free to offer it. And you can always ask for other opinions at the WP:Tea House. Regards. CactusWriter (talk) 22:09, 20 February 2020 (UTC)

need help with researching Blackfoot Chief, Sahpo Muxika

How can i communicate to you regarding what kind of research I would like to do on the above subject AuburnWoman (talk) 00:26, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

Hello, AuburnWoman. I'm not sure what you are asking me. Can you be more specific? Wikipedia has a decent article on Isapo-Muxika with some good references. For advice about research on this historical figure, you may wish to ask participants of Wikipedia:WikiProject Indigenous peoples of North America on the talk page there. I think they can provide you with better input than I might. Cheers. CactusWriter (talk) 14:48, 11 March 2020 (UTC)

Request Undeletion of Rajendra Nakod

Hello CactusWriter, I noticed that you have put the article the Nomination for deletion Rajendra Nakod which I drafted. Could you please undelete the article on Rajendra Nakod. He is outstanding tablist /Tabla players in India. A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Rajendra Nakod is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted. Unfortunately he does not have much media exposure, which he is not focusing all that actually If you put the article for the reason lack of notability... let me have a look at it again. He is a significant person in musicians in India especially in hindusanti classical music. I will remove it any way. kindly remove the deletion tag. I really appreciated for your kind attention

Thank you! -- User:Mustafdesam (User talk:Mustafdesam) 11:19, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello, Mustafdesam. Please note that the article has not been deleted yet -- but, as you agree, the lack of significant media coverage is the issue. You are encouraged to participate in the deletion discussion. Regards. CactusWriter (talk) 14:21, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello, CactusWriter,

I always ready to participate in any discussion of deletion. I know the artist more than a decade as a performer and where he comes from. He is not much bothered about any kind of media coverage or public publicity other than a performer. But i thing i strongly know that he has lots of followers in music and music lovers, I have noticed that during his public concerts. So that as a performer i need he must be part or in free knowledge source like wiki. I kindly request you to remove the Nomination for deletion Rajendra Nakod that you have placed.

Thank you! -- User:Mustafdesam (User talk:Mustafdesam) 02:05, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
Mustafdesam, I have not seen any evidence that effects this AFD discussion. CactusWriter (talk) 16:09, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

Hello (talk) CactusWriter (talk) I have noticed that you were deleted Rajendra Nakod which I drafted. Could you please undelete the article on Rajendra Nakod. He is outstanding tablist /Tabla players in India. I would like to re draft it but Im not permitted. Could you please look in to it? Rajendra NakodI really appreciated for your kind attention Thank you! -- User:Mustafdesam (User talk:Mustafdesam) 10:41, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Hello, Mustafdesam. The article on Rajendra Nakod was deleted by three different administrators following an AFD. It was subsequently protected against recreation last year because you continued to recreate the same article. I would suggest that you make a draft form of the article. (You can use the box under the section "to create a draft" at WP:DRAFT to help with this). A Draft article will allow other experienced editors to check that it passes the Wikipedia criteria for a Bio and they can provide you with advice. CactusWriter (talk) 14:34, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi there. Would you please restore this page to my user space? Given the discussion at the end of the deletion discussion, it appears that there may be space to work on Rundkvist's activities in the skeptical movement, and also to add news articles discussing him. At any rate, I would like to give that a shot. Thanks, --Usernameunique (talk) 04:28, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Come to think of it, would you please mind also restoring the talk page (i.e., Talk:Martin Rundkvist to User talk:Usernameunique/Martin Rundkvist)? I think there was some discussion there that might be worth taking a look at. --Usernameunique (talk) 20:33, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Recreation of Charles Okpaleke

Greetings, I thanked you on the talk page link here because I believe it is wrong to for another user to recreate a deleted page without contacting the user who deleted the original page. In the short time I have spent on wikipedia, I have learnt that. I also have seen the great work you have been doing. I will like to recreate the page Charles Okpaleke having researched and got some reliable sources. I just watched his film on Netflix and searched him on wiki only to find out he has no wiki page. Charles Okpaleke produced the movie LIVING IN BONDAGE: BREAKING FREE which happened the be the highest grossing film in Nigeria in 2019. It also has won the biggest awards on the African continent. How can you help me to create this page? I will be excited to create it because he is one of the most searched celebrities in Africa. Thank you again for all the works you have been doing. I note that this topic has been adequately discussed already by multiple editors to whom you wrote the same message. CactusWriter (talk) 18:02, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

The article was deleted under G5: Creation by a blocked or banned user in violation of block or ban. I think the subject was a notable film and had good number of reliable references as far as I remember. I had worked on/improved the article without knowing that it was created by someone blocked. It should be restored because it was notable and had reliable sources. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 14:47, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

Hu Zhiying

Hi @CactusWriter: How are you? This is regarding Hu Zhiying. There is a draft at Draft:Hu Zhiying that I would like to promote. I see it has been deleted several times, I think four deletes, in 5-6 years ago. I think the artist is genuinely notable and has got some international recognition and I've look at his work pretty extensively and it is notable. I would like to promote out of Afc and defend if it goes to Afd. scope_creepTalk 08:44, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi, Scope. I see that you have a response today from User:DGG at the draft. DGG is an experienced administrator, so I suggest that you discuss the article with them. I have no problem with them removing the current protection should the draft be approved. CactusWriter (talk) 21:36, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi! I'm working on talk page archives, and I noticed that you deleted Talk:Jetix (UK & Ireland)/archive old in 2013, because it was an orphaned subpage. However, the main article (and talk page) was actually moved instead of deleted, and it's now at Talk:Disney XD (British and Irish TV channel). Could you restore that old archive to Talk:Disney XD (British and Irish TV channel)/Archive 1? Assuming of course that there's nothing controversial on there. Thank you! --rchard2scout (talk) 13:29, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Regarding wiki article Maahirii Bose

The article was verified by you mentioning declined CSD- claim of significance is made-requires AFD to discuss lack of RS and/or notability. Still it has been deleted without any AFD discussion. Requesting you to help in this regard. Skylark007 (talk) 12:09, 18 October 2021 (UTC)

Hi, Skylark007. The Maahirii Bose article was deleted by User:Deb. I note now that Deb originally moved the article to draft space with a request that you submit the article for review. You moved it back into main space without any improvement or a review. I suggest that you discuss this with User:Deb. CactusWriter (talk) 15:43, 18 October 2021 (UTC)
