Years active 2013–present Millie Bobby Brown (born 19 February 2004) is a British actress born in Málaga, Spain, known for her breakout role as Eleven in the Netflix series Stranger Things.[1][1][2][2]

Early life Brown was born in Málaga, Spain, to British parents Kelly and Robert Brown, a real estate agent.[3][3] She has an older sister, Paige, an older brother, Charlie, and a younger sister, Ava.[3][3] The family moved back to their native England when Brown was four years old, residing in Bournemouth, before emigrating to Orlando, Florida four years later.[3][3][4][4] Millie publicly stated that she is an avid Liverpool football club supporter, after both her brother and father.[5][5] While acting, Brown became good friends with Maddie Ziegler who is the star dancer in Sia Furler's music videos.[1]

Career In 2014, Brown starred in the BBC America series Intruders as Madison O'Donnell.[6][6] She made her acting debut as a guest star in the ABC fantasy drama series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, portraying a young Alice. She also made guest appearances in NCIS, and Grey's Anatomy.

Brown has also uploaded videos to YouTube of herself singing, including the song "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran.[2] In an Elle Magazine interview, she stated that singing is "something that [she has] always loved to do"[3] despite having "really bad hearing in one ear".[4]

Brown came to worldwide prominence for her role as Eleven in Netflix's supernatural science fiction series Stranger Things.[7][7]
