I am a research scientist with a B.S. from Yale in Molecular Biology and Biophysics and a Ph.D. from Caltech in Neurobiology.

I have also done a fair degree of coursework in Philosophy, Anthropology, and Psychology at UCLA.

I have a special interest in the relationship of the human brain to the phenomena of consciousness, and to possible related contributions to the quality of human life. I have taken an interest, as a result, in various practices and programs involved in enhancing the quality of human life, ranging from meditation to therapies to awareness trainings.
