(This article is little more than a stub currently) Cinema Prague are a Perth band who's combination of humour, funk, thrash and Zappa-esque arrangements make them one of the most entertaining and musically dexterous bands to ever come from the city. Although the band never reached the international fame of some of their contemporaries, such as Jebediah or Beaverloop, they remain one of the more revered bands in Western Australian musical history and are regularly cited by younger bands as an influence.
The first phase of the band was 1989-1998, then they reformed in 2007 for more dates and record a new album. The original bass player,Rex "Hossy" Horan, is not currently part of the band and is in the UK. The band released four albums in it's first phase, and has a new album 'Snakes Alive' in production, to be released in June 2008.
