Season summary

[edit]

Pre-season

[edit]

Before the start of 2019–20 season in early August, Kremin's leadership decided to field its development team for the Ukrainian Amateur Football Championship. Sporting Director Yevhen Berun announced that team will be 80% players from Kremenchuk born between 2000 and 2003. One of the reasons given for creation of the team was Second league teams poaching U-19 players. Also, the leadership wanted to raise decent replacements for the main team. The club planned for the team to participate in Ukrainian Second League if the main team would remain in the First League and if the club found sponsors. Oleksandr Nazarenko was appointed manager of the team with Volodymyr Prokopynenko as his assistant.[1][2]

August

[edit]

Kremin-Yunior was assembled 10 days before the start of League. Team was assigned to play in Group 3.[3] First round game was postponed so that players could have enough time to prepare.[4] It was scheduled to be played on 20 October.[5] On 11 August Kremin-Yunior made its debut in the competition against Lehioner. Artem Alipatov scored the debut goal on fifty-seventh minute in a 5:1 loss.[6][7] Next week Kremin-Yunior traveled to Mariupol to face Yarud on 18 August. On 37th minute, while loosing 1:0, Yurii Bihdan committed a foul to deny an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. He was sent off and Yarud was awarded a penalty, which they scored. By half-time score was 3:0. Maksym Kucherenko scored a quick goal at the start of second half. This however was not enough as Yarud scored five more goals.[8][9] On 25 August Kremin hosted Kakhovka. It was the last match in Kremin Arena before reconstruction began. Kremin held Kakhovka at bay for first half-hour. A loss of ball in opposition half led to Kremin conceding the first goal. Seven minuted later they conceded another. After the break situation did not improve as Kakhovka scored three more goals.[10][11] After the game, Oleksandr Nazarenko stated that two central midfielders Yurii Bihdan and Yan Bilous along with Vladyslav Molko and Roman Yadryshnikov made the most progress in their development.[12]

September

[edit]

Marsel Tamoian left the club to join the Kobra Kharkiv playing in 2019–20 Ukrainian First League U-19 Championship. He made his debut for Kobra on 11 September.[13] On 1 September Kremin-Yunior traveled to play Vovchansk. Vladyslav Molko scored an early opener on the forth minute. Kremin-Yunior could not hold on to their lead and Vovchansk scored three minutes later, and again nine minutes after that. During second half Vovchansk scored two more times. Kremin-Yunior could not find a way to increase their score even after opposition player was sent off with twenty eight minutes reaming in the match.[14][15][16] On 7 September traveled to play Dnipro-1. Kremin-Yunior conceded an early penalty and another goal in second half. Maksym Kucherenko scored on seventy-third minute and had his penalty saved on eighty-ninth minute. Thus Kremin failed to earn their first point in the League. This match also was eleven players receive yellow cards.[17][18] Kremin's first team manager Ihor Stolovytskyi left the team on 18 September. Kremin-Yunior assistant Volodymyr Prokopynenko was appointed as a new manager. Kremin player Roman Loktionov was moved to Kremin-Yunior to be a playing coach and assistant. Nazar Malinovskyi was another player to sent to help Kremin-Yunior.[19] Due to League transfer window being closed neither Malinovskyi nor Loktionov were able to be registered as players and only trained with youngsters.[20] Since Kremin Arena was undergoing renovations, Kremin-Yunior played its home games at Kredmash Stadium. Motor was the visiting team on 22 September. Kremin was able to prevent Motor from scoring in the first half. However a quick goal after the restart was followed by three more from Motor. Assistant Roman Loktionov stated after the game that most players are busy with their education and thus don't have enough time for the required team training.[20][21] During next weeks game against Zirka on 29 September, Loktionov was appointed caretaker manager. He was a winner of the 2015–16 Ukrainian First League with Zirka.[22] His managerial debut began with another quick goal conceded four minutes after the game began. Kremin-Yunior prevented the opposing team from scoring again during the first half. Zirka scored two quick goals after restart and three more before Kremin was awarded a penalty. Yurii Bihdan scored from the spot on eightieth minute. This was followed by two more Zirka goals. Game ended with a repeat scoreline from Kremin's second round game with Yarud: 8:1.[23][24][25]

October

[edit]

On 6 October Kremin-Yunior played Tavriya at Kredmash Stadium. Kremin conceded a penalty in second minute. Kremin players tried unsuccessfully to take the game towards Tavriya goal. Tavtriya scored three more goals in second half.[26][27][28] On 13 October Peremoha visited Kremin-Yunior. It was the last home game before the winter break. Three minuted after start of game Kremin conceded an early goal once more. However this time they scored an equalizer on twenty-sixt minute through Maksym Kucherenko. Peremoha scored a penalty three minutes into first-half stoppage time. Daniil Berun scored for Kremin-Yunior on fifty-first minute. His goal gave the team their first point in the League.[29][30][31] On 20 October Kremin-Yunior was playing postponed first round match with Peremoha, who they drew with a week ago in Kremenchuk. Kremin-Yunior was the team to take an early lead this time. Oleksandr Yevtushenko scored on eleventh minute. Maksym Kucherenko scored another goal on fifty-eights minute. Their efforts earned Kremin its first win of the season.[32][33] After playing in ten matches the team was in last place in their group, winning one match, drawing one and losing eight. They scored nine goals and conceded forty-two. Oleksandr Nazarenko stated that because the team didn't have enough time to prepare for the season, they performed poorly in the first half of the season. Team planned to begin preparations for the spring part of season at the end of March. Players not involved with the Kremin-2003 team planned to take part in Kremenchuk city futsal championship. Nazarenko believed that some players would be called up to Kremin main team.[34]

2020

[edit]

Six players from Kremin and the sporting director left the team.[35] Shortly after, on 30 January it was announced that Kremin-Yunior will not continue with the spring part of the competition due to lack of finances.[36][37] Three players from the team: Vladyslav Molko, Yurii Bihdan and Daniil Berun were given a chance to train with Kremin's first team on 29 February 2020.[38][39] On 27 June when the League announced that remaining matches will be played, it was confirmed that Kremin-Yunior will not take part in the remaining games.[40] All remaining fixtures were given as a technical loss, adding eight more to the eight losses that the team suffered.[41]

Notes
  • On 8 August 2019 the Ukrainian Association of Football announced that Peremoha was stripped of 9 tournament points in the 2019–20 season.[44] However, the AAFU official standing did not reflect that fact and no mentioning about the decision either.
  • The game between Dnipro-1-Borysfen and Motor on 28 September 2019 did not take place, possible due to fact that a team of medics did not arrive to the game.[45] Later the standings were adjusted where it was reflected that Motor received technical victory (3:0) and Dnipro technical loss (0:3).
  • During the weekend October 5–6, 2019 two more scheduled games failed to take place Vovchansk – Peremoha (5 October) and Motor – Zirka (6 October). Both games were granted on 7 October 2019 technical scores by AAFU with wins awarded to hosting teams in both games.[46]
  • Please, note that sum of wins in the table is lower than sum of losses because in games between withdrawn clubs that did not take place both received loss.
