Badtameez Dil is an upcoming Hindi satirical romance film directed by Akshay Roy from a screenplay written by Althea Delmas-Kaushal. Produced by Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor for Dharma Productions and Balaji Motion Pictures, the film is inspired by the 1847 satire “Vanity Fair (novel)" by William Makepeace Thackeray.[1] The film stars Emran Hashmi and Kareena Kapoor.
The film is scheduled to release in early 2015.[1]
Plot
[edit]The initial idea stems from the novel Vanity Fair and the social dynamics are inspired from the 1847 book as well, but the setting has become contemporary Delhi. It is a story of two manipulative people who cross each other's path on their way up the social ladder.
