McLoughlin’s YouTube uploads are primarily let’s plays, edited recordings of past live streams, and cultural commentary in his “Meme Time” series.[1] He uploads other genres less frequently including vlogs, storytimes, and comedy videos.[2][3][4] The variety is in part driven by McLoughlin’s focus on maintaining an inclusive and interactive community around the channel.[5]

After returning from his break in August 2020, McLoughlin announced that he no longer upload daily. [6] In November, he explained that he made the decision “so [he] would have more time for [him]self and to be happier. And so far it’s been working out great.”[7] He’s also become more active on Twitch, where he live streams gameplay. [8]

McLoughlin has stated that his schedule is influenced by how he’s feeling, personal life events, editor availability, and the current workload for other projects.[6][7][9] As of fall 2020, he averages between three and five YouTube uploads each week, and between one and three Twitch streams.[1][8] He'll occasionally become more active for special occasions, such as his week of European early access to the PlayStation 5, in which he created more than TKTTKK hours of content including a full playthrough of Spider-Man: Miles Morales on YouTube, a full playthrough of the Demon's Souls remake on Twitch, and TKTK videos unrelated to the new console.[10][8][11]

In a video reviewing the channel, Swedish public speaker David JP Phillips stated that McLoughlin’s style has changed quite a bit in the past two years, which McLoughlin himself agreed with.[5] While he once described his content as an "assault on the senses" that people "either love or hate,"

McLoughlin himself has stated that “something about growth from one of the Q&A videos or turning 30” but the content has changed less than some fans think, pointing out how many times he’s literally made the same jokes years apart.
