My name is Charles (Charlie) Lewis Ellison. I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States of America on August 3, 1981 - the first of two children from my mother, Joan, and my father, Richard (mother's third husband). My father was in the Air Force at the time. In March of 1983, he was transfered to Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. Naturally, mother and I went with him. In September of 1984, my brother, Anthony, was born. Sometime around 1988, my parents divorced. Anthony and I stayed with our mother as she married again in 1991 and moved to Roberta, Georgia. In 1994, mom got another divorce and we moved back to Warner Robins. Later in the same year, we moved in with her boyfriend in Jeffersonville, Georgia. There, I went to Twiggs County Comprehensive Middle/High School where I graduated in 1999 with a 91 average. In 1997, dad retired from the Air Forced and moved to the southern suburbs of Atlanta, specifically Morrow. After graduation, I moved in with dad to start my first year of college at Clayton College and State University (now Clayton State College). My major was undeclared as I struggled to decide what to do with my life. After my first year, my GPA was a horrible 1.22 and I was put on academicprobation. I decided to move back in with my mother, step-father, and brother in Jeffersonville to attend school where my mom taught math. Therefore, October 2000, I started a major in Computer Information Systems at Middle Georgia Technical College. In 2001 I got a part time job at Pacific Sunwear (or Pac Sun) in Colonial Mall of Macon, and worked there until December 2002. I graduated in September of 2002 from MGTC with only a diploma in CIS and a certificate for CiscoNetworking. I failed to put my learned skills into action, wasting years of my life in indecision and fear of failure. In February of 2003, I moved back in with my father, and we moved to Stockbridge in August of 2004. I didn't start my second job until the last few days of August, 2005, which was delivering newspapers for the Henry Daily Herald. In July of 2006, I met my girlfriend, Amanda. She's from Brazil. I've known her for over two years through the Internet prior to meeting her in person. Amanda stayed for only one month then, but she returned to the States in May of 2007 and stayed for nine months. I decided it was time for me to visit her home in Curitiba, Brazil. We left on February 23, 2008 but not before enjoying New York City for a few days. So here I am in Curitiba, Brazil now, living with Amanda's family. I'm currently trying to get a job as an English teacher. My long-term plans include, but not in order, getting married, having kids, starting a Christian Rock radio station, and telling others about Christ. Very soon, I plan on going back to college for Communications and/or Religion. In the past, I have struggled with suicide, lust, lying, selfishness, and fear. Now, even though some of those still come back to haunt me, I am free of the bondage of those things because Jesus Christ has given me a new life, also inviting me to join him in Heaven. I accepted his salvation in June of 2004 and was baptized on Father's Day along with my father. If you haven't already, I hope you find out the truth about Jesus and start a personal relationship with him as well, so I can see you when I get to Heaven! =o) If you want to find out what having a relationship with Jesus is all about, I STRONGLY recommend reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis (also known for The Chronicles of Narnia series, including The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe). After that, read The Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren, to find out what God's purpose for you is. Enjoy! =oD
