Abdulwahab Umoru (Arabic عبدل وهاب أمرو), a graduate of Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria 2002.

He has a vast knowledge in Telecommunications as he had worked with the defunct Celtel Nigeria Limited and currently still work with Airtel Nigeria Limited Abuja. He is also a freelance Sport journalist with Hot FM 98.3 Abuja. He report football stories on the street and also a Studio Analyst on football issues on the program ‘Weekend Round-Up’ every Saturday between 4:00pm-5:00pm.

As a football Gaffer, he belongs to the compact coaching crew of Sahara FC Abuja where he trains, tutor young footballers for greatness. The team currently put up a scintillating performance in the Abuja State League winning all their group stage matches. They went on to beat State House coming from a goal down to win by two goals to one only to lose to SETRACO in the final rounds of twelve by one goal to two after a 75th minutes lead was denied by the referee who sent off three players via 3 straight red cards (goalkeeper) included and seven yellow cards handed to a player each.
As a young boy, he started his football career at age five. He played several football competitions in Ojo Barracks, Lagos and also played for Military Primary School between 1987-1991. He moved on to play for Command Day Secondary School Ojo barracks, Lagos between 1991-1997.

He was in the famous 1997 squad that represented Command Day Secondary school Ojo, Lagos in the prestigious bi-annual all Command/Nigerian Military School Games in Jos where the team put up a brilliant performance as the best qualifying team in Lagos and lost to Command Day Secondary School Ikeja in the semi-final. They emerged amongst the best four teams in the entire country.

Between 1998-2002, he played several Deans Cup competitions in Ahmadu Bello University zaria and emerged as the top scorer of his team. In 2002, he won the highest goal scorer award in the Col. Abdulmumin Organized competition for all Public Administration Students. His team lost in the final via penalty shoot out.

2003/04 presented him as one of the most valuable player in the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in Imo State as he emerged as his Platoon all time scorer. In September 2005, a fracture on his right leg from a Car accident kept him away from active football.

He currently plays for Mentor All Stars in Abuja and has the highest goal scoring record of the team.

This young football enthusiast is also a football commentator and a football scout. His biggest dream is to promote and help develop Nigeria and African football from the grass root level to international height. His understanding and playing of the game has earned him respects from colleagues, friends and fans at large. He is seen as a reference point on football matters by all and sundry. No wonder he is nick named “David villa and Pep Guardiola”.
