I began contributing to Wikipedia at on-campus college edit-a-thons in 2014. I organize edit-a-thons annually, usually during Women's History Month, including the first Our Bodies Ourselves Wikipedia Editathon, held at Suffolk University in March 2024; this one in March 2023; and this one in March 2020 with colleagues from Simmons University, Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University. I taught history and women's and gender studies for over 25 years at Simmons University in Boston. Some of my courses there asked students to create and edit Wikipedia articles as a research assignment.

My main interests include women's history, U.S. and transnational history, cultural history, visual art, imperialism and postcolonialism, gender studies, feminism, and religion.

New articles I created include Louisa Lander.
