Bastions (band)
[edit]Bastions are a Hardcore band from Anglesey, North Wales, that was formed in 2008.
The band self released their debut ep, Hello, I Have Toxic Shock in June 2008. After playing shows in and around North Wales, they went back and recorded another self released ep, We Will All Sink in January 2009. Both releases were recorded and produced at Orange Sound Studios by Russ Hayes. After honing their sound and touring around the country throughout the year, they returned to Russ Hayes in October 2009 to record their critically acclaimed 3rd ep: Kingdom of Dogs, which was released on the underground label: Tangled Talk Records. Such was Kingdom ... acclaim that the band picked up interest in and around the underground hardcore and punk scene. 2010 saw their profile soar with the release of Island Living, which was jointly released on Holy Roar Records as well as Tangled Talk. The band were also picked up by SGR Management; run by Gallows (band) bassist Stuart Gili-Ross. The year culminated with Bastions being main support for a handful of dates on Gallows "Back to the Dives" tour.
2011 sees the band touring with Gallows (band) during the summer as well as releasing their debut full length album.
