Awards winning , French Born sculptor FredericBerjot started his artistic carrer by becoming apprentice then assistant to Parisian sculptor and film maker Patrick Mazery .

In 1989 Frederic Berjot migrated to Australia and open the Laughing Museum which he still run today. Frederic Berjot Sculptures are disctintively different and based on body casting techniques. The evocative sculptures create by Frederic Berjot are often sensual , erotic and highly sought. In 2012 Frederic became the President of the Gold Coast Art Festival Inc and became an advocate to provide artists in South East Queensland a better voice and life in Australia. Accidentally Frederic became of philanthropist of the Arts in South East Queensland when he also opened Urban Paradise Galleries, a popular not for profit artists run initiative in Broadbeach, Southport , Surfers Paradise and Brisbane . Since December 2017 Urban Paradise galleries have exhibited hundreds of artists and sold thousands of art works around the world . The concept initiated by Frederic Berjot is to reactivate empty retail space and transform them into community art space where local artists can exhibit their arts , perform music or showcase new fashion designers . The artists in return for minding and sharing the electricity cost of the free space’ between themselves can then sale their work for free while paying no commissions . Frederic Berjot latest Urban Paradise Gallery is located at 52 Annerley Road in Woolloongabba, Brisbane .
