Mary Ann Crawford

American architect Mary Ann Elizabeth Crawford (1901-December 19, 1988) was born in Girard, Illinois. She began her studies at the University of Illinois, but transferred to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she completed her B.A. studies in 1929 and received an M.A. in 1930.

In 1932 Crawford was elected President of the Women's Architectural Club in Chicago, Illinois.^[1] She received her architecture license in 1941 and her engineering license in 1943 from the State of Illinois.^[2]

Crawford's drawings were exhibited at Artemesia Gallery in Chicago, Illinois in 1978.^[3]

Her architectural drawings are held in the collection of Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum^[4] and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Crawford died in Springfield, Illinois in 1988.^[3]
