Doug N. Hopkins is a real estate agent and investor. He based in Mesa, Arizona and has partner offices in Southern California.[1] He is heard locally on his “Flippin’ Real Estate Show” on 92.3 KTAR-FM radio station on Saturday afternoons in the Phoenix area.[2] He is known for his many TV and radio commercials advertising his real estate companies www.DougHopkins.com and Red Brick Realty.[1]

Doug is also recognized nationally as one of the stars on the Discovery Channel television realty show, Property Wars. In this show Doug and several other investors would compete against each other by bidding on foreclosed homes that were being auctioned off at the Maricopa County court house.[3][4] Doug Hopkins has also been featured as a real estate expert on local and national television.[5][6][7] He also had a book released in 2014 titled “Winning the Property Wars – Finding Success as a Real Estate Investor in Today’s Market”. He has claimed to have sold well over 10,000 homes in his career.[8]

Doug is originally from Bedford Hills, New York. He moved to Arizona in 1987 and attended Mountain View High School (Mesa, Arizona). He graduated from Arizona State University with a major in real estate, and started off his career as a door to door cable salesman. He later tried his hand as a mortgage lender and in 1994 obtained his real estate license. Doug quickly became a top-producing agent within his brokerage and has been acknowledged as one of the top 25 real estate agents in the state.[9]

In 2004, Doug opened Red Brick Realty and Red Brick Realty Property Management. Red Brick Realty employs a team of more than 120 real estate agents and closes more than 1,000 transactions per year, ranging from traditional purchases and sales to foreclosures, short sales and auctions[9] Red Brick Realty Property Management services 300 properties a month and has helped thousands of renters find homes.[10]

Doug mainly specializes in buying and selling foreclosure properties for investors and for the homeowners who purchase properties from Doug that have been rehabilitated. Doug and his team also specialize in short sales and purchases of short-sale homes. [10]

Doug and his team provide meals for the residents of the Ronald McDonald House, raise money for families with children that have serious medical needs, and contribute to the Boys and Girls Club, Sunshine Acres, Muscular Dystrophy Association and other private organizations[11].
