This a dream scenario based on the CSL and the new QPSL. Including some of the teams that have folded in the past totals up to 36 teams.

Inaugural year[edit]

Based on the standings of last year, the guidelines for a league in Canada and keeping some of the teams that have dropped out over the years, this is the way I'd set it up. First Division would have 12 teams (22 game season)

Second Division would be split into an East and West. (could be East and South)Also should not have 'B' teams in the same division as the 'A' teams. East:

  • Brampton City Utd B
  • Brantford Galaxy B
  • Mississauga Eagles FC B
  • SC Toronto B
  • Serbian White Eagles B
  • St. Catharines Roma Wolves B
  • TFC Academy II
  • Hamilton Croatia
  • Milltown FC

League Cup Scenario[edit]

With 36 teams, a League Cup competition could be easily added. Trouble how to seed teams.

Preliminary Round[edit]

Designed to reduce the number of teams down to 32. 8 teams would be selected from the past standings or expansion teams. In the first season and following the FA Cup guidelines of new teams into the league, only the expansion teams would need to be included in this Preliminary round. Any fewer expansion teams and the lowest teams from the 2nd divisions standings would be used. Expansion:

  • FC Brossard (EX)
  • FC Boisbriand (EX)
  • Saint-Léonard FC (EX)
  • Aylmer (EX)
