The original DESIGNyard closed in 2004. The name was then bought and a new department added to the 'Whichcraft' gallery in Cow's Lane Temple and this business then moved to Nassau Street, Dublin 2 under the DESIGyard name.

DESIGNyard (1993-2004) Temple Bar was Ireland's first 'jewellery gallery'. Exhibiting work by Irish and international jewellery designers, it became well-known for its exciting and unique collections, solo and group exhibitions. Under the Directorship of Danae Kindness (1993-2001) it established a remarkable showcase of designer jewellery and later craftwork and a commissioning service.
