Peter Fox (artist) (born 12 April 1952) is a British visual artist, musician and social entrepreneur.
Born in Kettering, Northamptonshire, he studied art at Falmouth School of Art from 1979-1982, [1] developing an interest in outsider art [2] and ecology. His artwork reflects a concern with natural history, ecology and environmental issues. As a percussionist he has a strong interest in Latin-American music and founded the Penzamba samba band .He studied ... Currently he lives and works near Marazion, Penwith. His work has been strongly influenced by primitive and non-western art. His work has been compared to the two greats of modern primitivism in Cornwall; Alan Davie and Breon O'Casey. The majority of Fox's work reflects his commitment to the environment. He is a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists and the Penwith Society of Artists showing his work with them and in galleries in Cornwall and London. He has also shown abroad in the USA and Italy. His work can be seen in the collection of the Dartington Hall Trust, Schumacher College, Devon and in the permanent collection of the Falmouth Art Gallery, Cornwall.
