I take apart brains and computers for a living. I think all information should be free, and that teaching others is the greatest accomplishment to be had. I study the neural, anatomical, behavioural, and genomic basis of vision and light reception in invertebrates, particularly marine invertebrates. I have a BS in marine biology and chemistry, and am working on my PhD in neuroscience, with a thesis involving electrophysiological and genomic investigation and computational modelling of the neural network of Hydra vulgaris.
