Welcome to my user page. As you can see I have not be bestowed the biggest of talents when it comes to either editing nor grammar. I don't pride myself of being a big contributor to Wikipedia, but I do try to advocate it every chance I get. I truly believe the free availability of information will change the world for the better. Even before the emergence of Wikipedia and the web as a whole I had an extensive library of books and payware encyclopedias.

I often get asked what my stance is on copyright (plus patents) and my answer is always the same: Imagine ideas and information quantified as bits. Its easy to see that a program/song/book of a certain substatial size can be copyrighted, but how far down can you go before it doesn't make sense anymore? Can you copyright 100 bits of information? What about 5 bits? Most people will agree that at some point logic behind ownership of information breaks down. I'm not trying to argue for that point, but rather I'd like to point out that either copying something is legal or not.
