Players from the Royal Challengers Bangalore have recorded five centuries so far, out of which four have been scored by Chris Gayle.[1]

In cricket, a batsman reaches a century when he scores 100 or more runs in a single innings. A century is regarded as a landmark score for a batsman, and his number of centuries is generally recorded in his career statistics.[2] The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional league for Twenty20 cricket in India,[3] which has been held annually since its first edition in 2008.[4] In the six seasons played, 28 centuries have been scored by 22 different batsmen. Players from eight of the eleven franchises have scored centuries; the only franchises that have not had a player score a century for them are Pune Warriors India, Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Sunrisers Hyderabad.[5]

The first century in the IPL was scored in the first match on 18 April 2008 at Kolkata and was made by Brendon McCullum of the Kolkata Knight Riders against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.[6] The highest score in the competition was made by Chris Gayle, who scored 175 runs not out for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors India.[5] This was also the fastest century in terms of strike rate; Gayle faced 66 balls with a strike rate of 265.15.[5] The most recent century was scored by David Miller of Kings XI Punjab while playing against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Mohali on 6 May 2013.[7]

The slowest century was scored by Sachin Tendulkar for the Mumbai Indians against the Kochi Tuskers Kerala. He scored 100 runs in 66 balls at a strike rate of 151.51.[5] Adam Gilchrist, David Warner and Vijay are the only batsmen to score two centuries;[5] Chris Gayle has scored four.[5][8] Five of the 25 centuries have been made by players of the Delhi Daredevils, the Kings XI Punjab and the Royal Challenger Bangalore each, which is more than any other team.[5] The Chennai Super Kings, the Deccan Chargers, the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bangalore have conceded the greatest number of centuries, with four each.[5] Twenty-one batsmen have scored 90–99 runs in an innings, and ten of them were not out.[5]

The first part of this list includes all IPL centuries organised in a chronological order. The second part of the list provides an overview of centuries by IPL seasons, and the third part provides an overview of centuries by IPL teams. Teams are initially listed in alphabetical order.[α][β][γ]
