Anthony Newell Born in Plymouth, Devon, Great Britian. As a teenager he performed with the Theatre Royal Plymouth's 'Young Company' Touring to Poland and London, before completing a BA Degree at London Metropolitan University. He is best known for his part as Orlando in the Theatre Royal Stratford East Production of Bashment, as a young gay man who was beaten in a homophobic attack and suffered subsequent brain damage. He appeared at St Pauls Cathedral Playing the young William Willberforce in a piece celebrating the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade. Other productions include: BBC: Casualty, Riverside Studios: Yermas Eggs, The Community Channel: Jimmy, several pantomimes as well as various photographic and television advertising campaigns. He has also lectured on Post-Communist theatre in British Universities Since leaving full time acting in 2007 Anthony has written for the Landor Theatre, Clapham - including 'Unpresented' and 'Want' featuring Sadie Shimmin and Amanda Symonds. His latest work has been as an artist, writer and brand manager for various TV personalities.
