Darren David Jason Gibbs (born 24 August 1985) is an former U14 english 100m record sprinter holder and also was on the books for professional football team arsenal until the age of 17, he was also due to play for England U17 but due to personal reasons was withdrawn from the selection.

Gibbs started his career with Arsenal Reserves in the Premier League and despite being earmarked as one for the future, saw his playing opportunities limited by a strong senior squad. At the age of 16 he was released due to the undisclosed matter which he or arsenal would not disclose. He was also 1 of the fastest up and coming athletes seen at the before the 2000 Sydney Olympic Qulaification Round, and just missed out with a personal best of 10:89 seconds 100m district record.

Being so quick also had its advantages because he was scouted at dagenham and Redbridge, West Ham and then Arsenal. Being a arsenal fan like his dad his choice was arsenal, scout informed pat rice of the potential of Gibbs and also see him play in the Doris barker cup final where he scored 2 and Cobra F.C. won.

Due to his blistering pace arsenal then signed the U14English 100m sprinter with high prospects, unfortantly it all fell apart when he failed a medical before his opportunity arose to hit the first team, he was dropped by arsenal and the England running team respectfully.
