Analysis of Article[edit]
While reading my article I first noticed that the introduction was visibly short. I also noticed that my article didn't include much about the personification in Emily Dickinson's poem. I also think more should of been included about Dickinson and the point of view her poem was written from. So I am going to add to the introduction more about the point of view in her poem and personification. I will also add a section about Dickinson's background.

"Because I could not stop for Death" is a lyrical poem by Emily Dickinson first published posthumously in Poems: Series 1 in 1890. The poem is about Death. Dickinson personifies him (death) as a gentleman caller who takes a leisurely carriage ride with the poet to her grave. According to Thomas H. Johnson's variorum edition of 1955 the number of this poem is 712.

"Because I could not stop for Death" is a lyrical poem by Emily Dickinson first published posthumously in Poems: Series 1 in 1890. The poem is about Death and the journey taken after death. Dickinson personifies him (death) as a gentleman caller who takes a leisurely carriage ride with the poet to her grave. As the persona in the poem and death rides along in the carriage, they pass through her different stages in life. According to Thomas H. Johnson's variorum edition of 1955 the number of this poem is 712 and a few more sources.

Dickinson's Background
Emily Dickinson is an American poet who is known for having an unusual style of writing poetry compared to other poets in the 1800s. According to Highbeam Research inc., "Dickinson wrote the way she did because of her emotional state of mind." Her poems shows readers the journey between life and death is something that shouldnt be feared. While Dickinson was in college she stayed to herself and eventually got to the point where she didn't leave her room. A&E Networks said " after returning from college she only talked to family and began to dress in mostly white attire." While in school she suffered from depression and frequent illness. She dropped out of college to take care of her sick mother who suffered a stroke soon after and it left her invalid. Dickinson's father passed unexpectedly and soon went her mother.
