John William Watson Born April 2, 1951 Charters Towers, Queensland, Australia Occupation Cultural Advisor, Producer, Director, Writer & Lyricist John William Watson (born 2 April 1951) is an Australian producer, director, composer, writer and lyricist. He works with organizations such as Opera Queensland, The Queensland Symphonic Orchestra, the Seven Network, the Queensland Youth Choir. [edit]Education Watson, born in Charters Towers, Queensland, is a former student of Charters Towers State High School. He studied at the James Cook University Queensland. He then lectured at the Queensland University of Technology in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane. [edit]Writer 1992(Book & Lyrics) Smiley – the musical.
