School Timetabling ... School timetabling is the creation of the timetable which will determine the teachers' and students' lives for a year.
Creation of a Matrix[edit]
The Matrix is an Excel (usually) document that has all of the subjects, periods and years on it. From a matrix, you are able to read when every subject for every class in the school runs. On the example, you can see that Year 12 English runs on Monday Pds 2&3, Tuesday Pd 7, Wednesday Pd 4, Thursday Pd 7 & Friday Pd 1. This is repeated for every year and every period.
