It is a privilege to be a part of this exciting project.

I have recently been involved in helping my Mother research the history of the isolated farmhouse on the South Downs where she was born. I will therefore be making contributions to pages relating to the history, geography and conservation of the area as well as other related subjects.

Another interest is in developing and communicating an understanding of the Universe of which we are a part. The seemingly paradoxical hermeneutic circle enabled me to realise that the universe as a whole (as far as it relates to our developing an understanding of it) is holistic. Currently, mainstream science is based on formal mathematical description. It is not devoted to the acquisition of meaning. A possible compliment to this is the Goethean scientific paradigm.

My interest was aroused when asked by the Professor Holleman Stichting to write about the subject of biological transmutation, which alleges that plants and animals may be able to transmute one chemical element into another (nuclear fusion).

My original intention was to develop my own Mediawiki driven site. However, since I am interested in building bridges, and enabling understanding with as wide an audience as possible, perhaps this is a better forum to enable this process. Certainly the progress that the Wikipedia has made in recent years, including a tolerance for well established, but controversial, ideas, (as long as they are written from a neutral point of view) inspires me to make more contributions.

My latest endeavour is to start a new page

about the Italian geologist Alessandro Montanari. I recently attended a study course with him. I fully acknowledge I have used some emotive language, made extensive use of quotes and his complete publications list (to 7th May 2024) should possibly be shortened. I am hoping that others will take on the task to clean up this page: Draft:Alessandro_Montanari
