From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An anemochore is a plant whose seeds, spores or fruits are dispersed by the wind. In some species, this is achieved with a pappus, consisting of small hairs or bristles, that function as a parachute.

This process of wind-dispersal is known as anemochory (or aerochory) [1].
