Hy my name is Debayan Tarafdar and I am a member of the bengaly band UDUMBHOOM.

UDUMBHOOM was formed in 2005, with the aim of reviving the own music of Tripura and making it popular amongst all sections of the society by providing it an fusion touch. The band was initially created out of the interest of the five founding members - Subhadeep Dev, Debayan Tarafder, Barnik Dhar, Deeptanoy Ghosh & Kishore Bhattacharya-to experiment with the vast store of traditional (and in many cases non-attributed) Bengali Folk music ("procholito gaan") and mix it with their repertoire of Indian musik and instrumentation.

All over Tripura & outside, Udumbhoom's journey that began in Kailashahar in 2005, has seen it winning hearts, souls and minds with spectacular performance in district towns and capitals such as kumarghat, Dharmonagar, Agartala & many other places of Tripura.
