World War I is started on Wikipedia by inviting all your buddies into your debates, or sniffing your nose into business because your enemies are there. Avoid this at all costs. Millions could die.

[edit]Consensus is always good, but so are small settlements. Don't escalate things unless it affects more than just an article or template. Bringing your pals into a debate as meatpuppets or something similar won't do much of anything to establish "consensus", nor will going to your enemies' debates just to disagree. It'll kill millions of hours of time that could be used to improve the encyclopedia, much like World War I killed millions of people.
